We have arrived in Beijing, China

We have arrived in China, and so far what we have seen is such a beautiful country with very friendly and welcoming people!  We are now in Beijing and have experienced a very modern city with everything you might expect in terms of convenience and technology. 

We are now checked into our hotel which is very nice and only steps from the gates of the Forbidden City.  As you can imagine, we travelled close to 24 hours to get there…With a very long flight of over 14 hours from Washington DC to Beijing, China…To say the least, that was a very long flight (especially with a 3 and ½ year old).  But Anthony did very well…considering his age…He had a minor melt-down half-way through the flight, but he was exhausted and passed out for the remainder of the flight which worked out well for the rest of us.
