Long time, no blog....

Friendship make prosperity more shining and lessens adversity by dividing and sharing it.        -  Cicero

Sorry for the delay in posting…on Friday we traveled from Fuzhou to Guangzhou and it was little bit of a tiring trip because of flight delays due to the typhoon in the area.  We did not get into our hotel room in Guanghou until after midnight, and then had to be to appointments for our visa photo and medical exams for Maddie early Saturday morning…So Friday and Saturday were very long days for us and the kids…All are still doing very well, Maddie was cleared at the medical clinic and she has to get a few shots on Monday, then we can put the paperwork in for her final visa…We are still on schedule to fly and be home Friday night.

As you see above in the pics, Madeline has a friend…and her name is Weimen…she is her best friend from the orphanage and we were very lucky that both of them were adopted at the same time…and her parents are with our adoption travel group as well..The funny thing is, that we saw many pictures of her before we traveled with Weimen, but had no idea that we would be all together…her parents, Stacey and Jay contacted us before we left for China…and we met via phone…We have had the pleasure of spending time together and so have the girls…To watch these girls go through this process, together, has been amazing…they are two sweet angels, who have had each other for virtually their entire lives…and it is our intent that we and they keep contact through the years to come!  Friends forever….

Please enjoy the pics above…and we will be sure to keep more current with the blog posts as we spend our last week in this amazing country!

So sweet about her little friend. That's just awesome you all have been able to enjoy this journey together. Love all the pics. Seems like you've had some really long days. I hope you enjoy the rest of your days in China. Such a beautiful country and so great you are able to see a few different areas.

That is so neat that she is with her "best friend":) Seeing the medical clinic brings back memories of just a few months ago:)

Enjoy your final week in China.:)

Hi there,

This is Truong, an ex-social worker from Holt Vietnam. I have known Maddie when she was in the CWC and also prepared your family dossier and submited to MOJ before. This is just a short note to ask about how Maddie is doing. How are your family doing? I hope everything goes well.

Would you mind contacting with me like this? I hope we can be friends so that I can be of any help to you if possible. Please reach me at langxuantruong@gmail.com if you don't mind.

Best regards,
Truong
