GOTCHA DAY!!!

This morning when we woke up we were a family of three…now as we write this post we are a family of four.  Yes, today was the day we have been dreaming about for the last 20 months…our daughter…We are now blessed with two wonderful children, given to us through the miracle of adoption. 

Today we traveled by plane from Beijing to Fuijian Province of China…about a three hour trip!!!  We have traveled with another family from our agency here and we both received our daughters today…!  Our flight was delayed about an hour…so they rushed us from the airport to the hotel, and we received Madeline before we even checked into the hotel.  She is in a state of shock…but doing very well and taking to both mommy and daddy (and big brother Anthony too!)!!!!!  She had one or two meltdowns and we expect more to come!   But we have been through this before…expect the worst, and hope for the best!  But so far she is a trooper and is sleeping right now.  Anthony is a great help, and is our little 'play' ambassador…he is really doing well on this trip and is a big help to Maddy in terms of making her feel comfortable.

Tomorrow (Monday) we go to do all of the legal adoption paperwork and make it all official…We will spend a week in this province to get her passport…after that a week in another city to get her US Visa!

We are exhausted right now and need to focus on her…so sorry for the short post.  Please enjoy the photos above and we hope to post more info and pics tomorrow.

Thanks to you all for your kind wishes…many have e-mailed us today, and yes we have her…and she is adorable and she is now a part of our hearts and family!
