WOWWWWWWWWWW!!!After over 11 months of waiting we have been matched and accepted a referral for a baby boy from Vietnam. He was born on January 15, 2007 in Binh Duong, Vietnam.
As many of you know, we have been waiting very patiently since our initial application to adopt a child in December of 2006. The really hard wait starts now, knowing that our son is waiting for his “forever” family to come and get him. We still have several months of legal process in Vietnam and the U.S to go through. We hope to travel by March (hopefully sooner).
The last 5 days have been very crazy for us. I received an e-mail from our agency (HOLT) on Monday, October 29 to call them. I called them right a way and our case worker told us that we have been matched/referred for a child. She gave me the details for him to see if we would consider him. I talked to Becki and obviously we said YES! They sent via FedEx a whole packet of medical records, pictures, history, etc. I had a pediatrician review the paperwork (luckily my sister Diana is a pediatrician) who verified everything looked good. We are now beginning the massive paper chase to finish up the process.

Congratulations!!! Diapers and Pins, now the fun begins. We all know you guys will be wonderful parents. We look forward to meeting the new addition to your family.
