Hey folks! Hope everyone is doing well! Just wanted to drop a line to share some news! Late last week, we received a call from Holt, updating us as to our status. We are 17th on the list to be matched to a child!!!!! Holt Staff reports they are making 3-5 matches per month. With this information, we are HOPING for a match sometime between this November to January. Although this is an ESTIMATE and nothing is ever written in stone, we are moving up pretty quickly and that, in itself, is exciting!
Again, once we are matched, we will find the sex, age, and location of our child. Depending on where the baby is living, we will need to wait another 3-9 months before we can travel to bring him/her home.
Another update: Regarding USCIS, we recieved our "invitation" to be fingerprinted and are scheduled for next week. This CIS stuff is going a lot smoother than I had originally anticipated. With any luck, things will continue to move without any bumps and we will have our approval soon! YAY!
I will keep you updated as things move along...but for now... vacation begins on Friday and I gotta go get ready to sit on the beach for week! Can't wait 'till next year so we can bring "Baby D" for a week of fun and sun with his/her new "cousins" Dor Dor, Bailey, and Mo Mo!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)
