Begining the Immigration Process

This is one step down, but it still feels like we have a thousand more to go... LOL!!!! We finally started paperchasing with USCIS, United States Citizen and Immigration Services. Anthony mailed out the documents last Monday and we are relieved to have gotten that ball rolling. Even though we are, in all likeliness, still pretty far from a match...we nevertheless feel a little closer to becoming parents! We have even begun seriously talking about names- we felt like we were jinxing the whole parenting/baby thing in the past! HA! My hubby is pretty superstitious!!!!

In a nutshell, the paperwork we sent to USCIS is basically our official "Federal" application to adopt internationally. Now, we must go through another review and re-fingerprinting, so the Federal Government can approve our request to Adopt a Child from VietNam. I know it seems like a lot of bureaucracy...but the is the US...you know we love our "red-tape"!!! :-)

Don't know what you think, but I feel like this year seems to be, in one sense, flying by, but at the same time dragging so slow! I don't know... I feel like we have been waiting (and waiting and waiting and waiting..lol) for a while...but it also feels like the year is going by so fast. It seems like January was just the other day and, in reality, we are almost in August! WOW!!! I know that sounds weird...whatever... I am rambling again!

Anywhoo... I will continue to keep you all posted...In the meantime, we are waiting patiently, wishing and praying for time to fly by.......
