Every house where love abides
And friendship is a guest,
Is surely home, and home, sweet home
For there the heart can rest.

After over 30 hours of traveling!!!! Which we spent over 20 hours in three different airplanes….All three of us are safe and sound at home…
We had a basically smooth trip…some minor issues in Chicago…no big deal, but naturally we have the most hassles in the USA (but that is for a later post)…Out little guy did great…no problems…he was completely an angel…he slept, played, really not a problem…Amazing for a 16 month old…
We went through immigration at Chicago Airport…was a very smooth process…handed over his paperwork…got all the stamps…and he is a citizen…AMAZING…A new American citizen right before our eyes!!!!
We got into Philly about 5:45PM…were promptly picked up by Uncle Mike…and got home and greeted by excited new grandparents and aunts/uncles!!! He did pretty good…no meltdowns (other than melting down for his first ride in a car seat!)…he seemed to warm up to everyone (at least the male ones, females we are still working on…)…We all went to bed, and he did not wake up until about 6:00AM….pretty good start, since that it was 5PM in Vietnam!!!
Everyone is doing well today…Little Anthony is doing great…playing, starting to like and abuse the dog and cat….all or getting along well!!!! We are a tired…but adjusting well…
We will keep updating his progress on the blog … please stay tuned….
Here are some pictures from yesterday….
FIRST CLASS TRAVEL, Baby style...They installed this bassinet in the plane for him...Which saved daddy and mommy's back...!!!

The newest American Citizen...touching US soil as a citizen for the first time...

Exercising his God given American right to an early start to high cholesterol!!!! Eating a McDonald's Happy Meal for the first time in Chicago O'Hare Airport!!!

Arriving at Philadelphia International Airport!!! (Photo Courtesy of Uncle Mike)

Riding in a car seat for the first time...and not real happy about it!!!

Eating cookies with Pop-Pop...

Meeting Kyra the dog for the first time...he was initially not sure about her!! He is fine with her now...we were originally feeling bad for him...today after getting her ears and tail pulled all day, we feel bad for the dog!

And friendship is a guest,
Is surely home, and home, sweet home

YAY! Im glad he is adjusting so well! Poor Poor Kyra...LOL and Nermal, Im sure he is just hiding for his dear life! I am so happy for all of you, grandparents included! What a great new journey you all are now beginning as new parents and grandparents! Congratulations! PS Let me know when we can come meet him!! Im getting anxious but I know how important it is not to overwhelm him.
Oh yeah...Kyra's face in that picture is priceless...HELP, PLEASE!?? is what it is saying..ahahahahaa
Congrats on a wonderful Long trip home. Glad to see you are all safe and sound. Many prayers answered I am sure! Evan was the least affected by the jet lag in our family. He slept like a trouper from our first night home. It was a blessing cause it took mom and dad a little longer to adjust.
Sending blessings and prayers your way as you settling into being an all American family!

My question is ... who liked the cookies more, Little Anthony or Pop Pop Tony!!!!
Guys, he is awesome!!! You should have seen his face the moment Kyra tried to lick the pizza sauce off his fingers... yes we had a real Italian American meal his first night home...priceless!!!!
If I do say so myself, we have an extraordiarily smart young guy there!!! He did high five after showing him how 1 time!! But... grandmoms can brag!!!
We all love you, Anthony!!

Welcome home!!!!
What a fabulous start to your journey together! As much as I would love to ring and introduce the boys to little Anthony. I will wait until you are ready for a "play date". Perhaps a neutral environment like the local park would be good. May God Bless you and enjoy all your "firsts" together in America!
Take care.

Welcome home! Love the pictures! The bassinet the fixed for you is awesome! Hope they'll do the same for us. Thanks so much for sharing the past few weeks with us. We look forward to reading new posts and seeing new pictures! Blessings - T & C
Welcome home. Looks like he is settling in, no better way than with some good old fries!
Welcome home to the new, happy family of three :). Love the McDonald's pics. Now he's officially an American LOL
What a little trooper he is! Little Anthony sounds like a very resilient kid and you two are doing a great job as well! I have to add that little Anthony is especially handsome too!
Congratulations!
